Dr. Koshy Varghese is board certified by
the American Board of Internal Medicine and has completed a Fellowship in
Geriatric Medicine. Dr. Varghese completed his medical education at S.C.B. Medical College in Cuttack, Orissa, India in October 1990. He
completed residencies in internal medicine, community medicine, and
intensive care medicine in New Delhi in 1994. Dr. Varghese then
relocated to the United States where he completed his residency in
Internal Medicine at Jersey City Medical Center in New Jersey from 1994
to 1997 and a fellowship in Geriatrics at Emory University in Atlanta,
Georgia from 1997 to 1998.
Dr. Varghese came to Texas in January
1999, where he practiced at The Deep East Texas Regional Health Center
and Gulf Coast Health Center in Newton, Texas. Following Hurricane Rita,
Dr. Varghese moved to Central Texas. He has worked part-time at Johns
Community Hospital’s emergency room since 2005 as well as other
emergency rooms in Central and East Texas.
