Joan
Maxfield, a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, graduated from
Brackenridge Hospital School of Nursing in Austin and obtained her BSN
and MSN at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
Joan worked as an RN for over 20 years before returning to The
University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio to become a
Nurse Practitioner in 1996. She has worked at The Health Center since
1998. As an RN, she worked in a variety of
settings including two years in the Peace Corps in South America.
