Samuel Bennett, M.D., a native of Brownsville, Texas
graduated from the University of Texas in Austin and the Autonomous
University of Guadalajara Medical School. Dr. Bennett trained at Cook
County Hospital in Chicago where he completed his Internal Medicine
Residency in 1984. Dr. Bennett remained in the Chicago area working at
an outpatient clinic before relocating to Austin in 1985. Dr. Bennett
worked at the ProMed Clinic in Austin for over 20 years as well as
working in the ER and Internal Medicine clinic at the Bergstrom Air
Force Base Wing Hospital. Dr Bennett was in hospital and private
practice in Internal Medicine for over nine years. While in private
practice, Dr. Bennett participated in the Texas Statewide Internal
Medicine Preceptorship Program and mentored students from various Texas
medical schools. Dr. Bennett has worked part-time at Johns Community
Hospital's Emergency Room from 1989 to 1997 and from 2002 to the
present. Throughout his medical career Dr. Bennett has also worked
part-time for emergency rooms in Harlingen, Brownsville, San Marcos,
Killeen, Brady, Gatesville, Llano, and Gonzales.
Dr. Bennett, who is fluent in Spanish, sees patients in the emergency
room as well as patients who have been admitted to the hospital. |
